Project 16 - Sponsorship

Generally we have not asked our supporters to sponsor individuals. One supporter is supporting Soniya through her Nursing degree that her parents were unable to afford. A second sponsor has agreed to support Vemu Madhavi (17) from August 2013 for her 2 year nursing course; she has 2 younger siblings - her father is a seasonal daily labourer.

One supporter is sponsoring 2 named children in the Home.

Soniya

Several children have expressed their wish to become doctors – a very high ambition and a very expensive training!

In 2012 we reached the time when the first of the children (Pavan, who is aiming to become a software engineer) whom we have been supporting within The Elizabeth-Ann Home is leaving aged 15 to move on to College. College education (16 & 17 year olds) costs around £250/year plus books and travel expenses.

Now in 2013 the Trustees have agreed to sponsor Janardan & Sudheer @ £250yr and Rose Mary & Manjula @ £100 through their next stage of education.

We have asked that all those who receive sponsorship through their further education are asked to sign an undertaking to commit and pay-back 1% of their income through life to support the following generations.
