Charitable Status

In 2006 Julie decided to form a registered Charity [UK Registration No. 113374] and invited Richard Aylward and Eleanor Bevan to be the Trustees.

Richard is the official Treasurer. Eleanor has moved away and now Jim Clarke and Simon Banfield have been appointed as Trustees. Michael remains as the main administrator

To make every donation more effective, the decision was taken to apply to The Charity Commission for charitable status.  This gives the opportunity to recover tax against each donation, making more funds available to meet the needs identified for the village.  It also allows The Charity to become more active fund raisers.

It has been agreed by the trustees, that all fund-raising and administration will be provided at no cost to The Charity.
